My wife Sandy and I are allowed
to live here by all of our critters. The first part of November 2006, we had
to make the difficult decision to
part with her Sheltie named Sundown. Sunny was well over 16 years
old. It was not easy, but
he is much better off now.
Next in line would be the German Shepherd --- Tippy. I've had her
for nearly seven years. She is beginning
to slow down a bit, but that
is probably most noticeable because of her son Zathras. Zathras is all
St Bernard!
He looks like a St Bernard, acts
like the dog in the Beethoven movies, and is HUGE!! His last trip to
the vet
was when he was five months old.
He weighed in at 67 pounds!! I don't know what he weighs now, but he
dwarfs his 85 pound mother.
After that come the cats --- they
are all OUTDOOR cats.
All five of them adopted us at various times. One thing that I do know
for sure about cats, they are
liars!!! You can feed those critters and an hour later they are all
whining about how neglected and starving they are!!!
One day a couple of months ago, I went to Kentucky for an overnight
observing session. When I returned there was a new addition to the
critter collection. We now have a Guinea Pig. Her name is Ruby
--- but I just call her squeaker!
