Greetings,
I need to get to work on this page!

Last time I mentioned the travel triangle between the
grandkids. It's still New York, Florida, and Illinois, but there are
now nine --- with number 10 on the way!
Beehives anyone? In the spring of 2010, we began
beekeeping. The bees did quite well getting through the first year.
Heck, we even ended up with 28 pounds of honey! In the picture, you
can see from the melted snow, that the bees are quite healthy and creating
their own heat. When the weather is cold, they cluster up for
survival. Now to get them through the rest of the winter and into
spring.
Last year was a great year for attending star parties.
We made it to several, and this year promises to be just as good. Our
two favorites, Twin Lakes and Heart of America are on different dates
(whew!!), so we will be able to get to both of those again this year.
JEPC --- we have reserved the campground for our 2011
event. The dates are June 30 through July 4. Mark you calendar
--- NOW!!! Hope to see you there! (If you plan to attend, please let
us know. Indicate how many, and tent or camper. The more the
merrier, but we are worried about camper space.)
Danger!!! After doing my best for 50 years to
stay away from RC airplanes, I finally got the bug. Watch out as I
attempt to learn how to fly one of these things. There is no
comparison to piloting a real aircraft, it's all new! I won't even
talk about the helicopters. Totally a different experience trying to
fly one of those things!
I hope to see everybody at a star gazing event sometime during the year.
Star parties are fun, but be careful --- you might find them as addicting as
many others have already!
If
anybody has any suggestions, send me a note.
